9/4/2019 · On console, while you ADS, you hit left stick to lean left, and right stick to lean right. But the problem becomes if you were to lean left without aiming, you would sprint, since LS or left stick is the button to sprint.
Leaning Without Aiming On Console As most people know you can lean without aiming on PC, but you cannot on console. An easy way this can be implemented on console is using left and right on the D-pad. Other buttons can be moved such as ping and select fire.
PriesT suggests that pressing the X/A button and pressing the normal lean buttons results in leaning without aiming. This is a good solution since X/A is rarely used (for vaulting and rappeling). Please Ubisoft, read this post and watch the video and implement this feature!, I’m considering switching to PC for a number of reasons, one being that you can lean without aiming. This can’t be done on console because there is not enough buttons on the controller. One way they could do this is to make it so when you aim and lean, after un-aiming you will still be leaning.
Even plugging a controller in on PC (which causes the game to automatically switch control schemes) won’t allowing leaning without aiming. Which videos were you watching? It’s not possible on console. Most likely they were PC players.

this would greatly improve shotguns on console as leaning at the hip is great. How to implement Hip- Leaning on console . Simple. Just give the players an option to maintain their lean direction after bringing their gun down from aiming to at the hip. No need for button binds or anything.
